With our express tan you can choose your level of darkness

30 minutes for a light/medium 1 hour for dark, 2-3 hours for ultra dark OR MAXIMUM results have it the Hondrou way and sleep in it over night! Our tan also has a ZERO fake tan smell policy as our Kakadu plum scent smells deeelicious and also has benefits for the skin!

This was my second purchase from Outer Ego - I loved how this self tanner didn’t make me look orange or green. I got so many compliments and it boosted my confidence. However, when this second purchase arrived, all 3 bottles had not been sealed properly, therefore it left a giant mess, less product, and gave me stained hands and surfaces in my home.

Second time ordering from outer ego. Still love the product itself, but just like my first order, the bottles leaked in the shipping package. You loose product and it makes a mess…
It’s frustrating because this is my all time favorite self tan.
Maybe adding a “twist to close/open” would fix the problem? I don’t know.
100% recommend though!

I love this tanner so much! That is why I ordered more. Unfortunately one of the bottles were leaking all over when I opened the package. I was able to recover the other two bottles but the third was missing a good amount of product. Still love this product a lot, I am tho very careful wearing it with white since it does stain. Not sure if there’s a better way to avoid that or not.

In regards to self tan transfer, while your tan is developing it’s normal for some guide colour to transfer onto clothing. We recommend wearing loose, dark clothing while your tan is developing and then making sure you’ve fully washed off your guide colour before wearing your favourite whites! Once your tan has been rinsed properly and fully developed, transfer is usually much less likely.

I would like to consider myself a self tan expert. I have been doing self-tanner for 13 years. I have tried every single tan and this one is the best I have found. Let’s start with the color. The purple base is exactly what I’ve been missing from my routine. It compliments my EXTREMELY pale/translucent skin lol. Everywhere I go with this tan, I get complimented on my complexion. Very disappointed. Followed the instructions. Left on for an hour and 1/2. I am very fair so I thought this would be long enough. It all washed off..I didn't continue to develop. No tan.

The tanner itself is gross. It does not dry. So you are sitting there for an hour and 1/2 not bring able to move. Ps is does stain clothes just not you.

Contacted CS and they were zero help. Also gave it to my friend to try. She watched the video and kept it on longer. Nothing on her either. Product was not good. Shipping in a plastic bag also caused one to open..

This tanner has lasted my wife 3xs as long as any other tanner she has bought when it comes to the usage. Because my wife is very big on her hygiene the tan last her about a week from apply, that’s not bad at all given the tan comes out perfect. The time process is literally 100/10 so much better than other tans having to wait to develop and process it. She is beyond please with it and blow away with how long our 3-pack batch has lasted us. She still has one full bottle and a tiny bit in one. This tanner is definitely worth the buy and worth the price! I think the bottle itself looks awesome! Once she opens that last bottle and is halfway we definitely are ordering another 3-pack and I think everyone should it’s the best deal and it last trust me!

Why should I choose Outer Ego?

Outer Ego was created by the Hondrou Twins after years of reviewing tans and perfecting the features they loved most. The result is an express tanning mousse made to suit everybody and anyone, with a violet-brown base designed to flatter all skin tones. It is super hydrating, infused with skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, Kakadu plum, argan oil, rosehip oil and vitamin C, and made with a zero fake-tan-smell approach thanks to its Kakadu plum scent.

You can also choose your glow level: rinse after 30 minutes for light/medium, 1 hour for dark, 2–3 hours for ultra dark, or leave it on overnight for maximum results.

Is this safe for all skin types?

Outer Ego is designed to suit all skin tones and is formulated with hydrating, skin-supporting ingredients including hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, Kakadu plum, argan oil, rosehip oil and vitamin C.

As with any skincare or tanning product, we recommend patch testing first, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, eczema, broken skin or known fragrance sensitivity. Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and wait 24 hours before full-body use. Tiny test, big drama avoided.

Can I still tan in the sun?

Yes, but Outer Ego does not replace sunscreen. Self tan gives your skin a bronzed look, but it does not protect you from UV rays. If you are going outdoors, apply broad-spectrum SPF and follow normal sun-safety steps.

Outer Ego helps you get the glow without needing to chase UV exposure. Your future skin will not send a thank-you card, but it would if it could.

Will it look natural or turn me orange?

Outer Ego was made with a violet-brown base that is designed to look great on all skin tones and help deliver a natural-looking bronze finish. The team says they spent ages perfecting the formula to create “the perfect shade for everyone” and to help avoid uneven, patchy results.

For the most natural result, prep matters: remove old tan, exfoliate, shave if needed, moisturise dry areas, then apply with a mitt or gloves. Outer Ego’s own tanning steps recommend moisturising stubborn dry areas and waiting at least 2 hours before tanning.

Why should I choose this & not a tanning bed or sunlight?

Self tan works differently. DHA, the active tanning ingredient in self tanners, reacts with amino acids on the skin’s surface to create colour, rather than tanning through UV exposure. So the neat answer is: Outer Ego gives you the look of a tan without needing the sun or a tanning bed!

Can I use Outer Ego while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Self tanning during pregnancy is a personal choice. We always recommend that you feel completely comfortable before using any self tanning products during pregnancy. If you have any questions or concerns, please consult your healthcare provider for personalised advice.
